Local repair
In the previous #circularwondering I asked some questions about repair.
It is interesting to look at the folks selling services that answer some of those questions. Specifically I'm interested in the digital and software aspect of their answers.
The obvious point at which that aspect begins is optimising web content in order to answer those questions & connect with potential clients. Here's a pretty good example [1]
Beyond that there are some places to aggregate answering these questions. Search Engines are the largest scale solution. Then there are directories (like Yell.com) and services that help by connecting tradespeople (like this one [2]).
There are also hyper local attempts to answer the question. (like this one [3])
So, my next question is: do those do a good enough job answering the question? Or is there scope to provide better answers that could make repair cooler?
